For our purposes, 2D art is art created with "digital paint" applied by drawing a pen-like stylus across a pressure sensitive digital tablet. As the stylus is drawn across the tablet a corresponding brush stroke appears on the computer screen. This medium requires skills similar to those used when working with traditional art media, but also offers creative opportunities not available in traditional media.
