Hammond
B-3 Organ (front view)
This
1957 Hammond B-3 Organ was my first attempt at 3D art. It was done in
Ray Dream 3D, a cost and feature reduced version of Ray Dream Studio aimed
at the entry level modeler. The rendering engine is good, though the object
modeling is limited without booleans and other significant features. Still,
for the $99 USD I paid for it in 1999, it was a great value and taught
me many basics of 3D modeling and rendering. This model has over 400 separately
positioned pieces and took over 200 hours to create. I could do it a little
faster now that I know more about 3D.
A
different rendering of this model can be seen here.
